Harry E. Thorpe
(b. Mar. 1, 1947, d. Apr. 19, 1980)

Harry E. Thorpe, 33, of 235 E. Eighth St., died at Mansfield General Hospital early Saturday morning.

The son of William A. and Ellen Fry Thorpe, he was born March 1, 1947. He was a resident of Ashland all his life and a construction lineman.

He was a member of the Ashland Eagles Lodge and the Mansfield I.B.E.W. Local 688.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; one son, Eric; three daughters, Tatia, Shari, Shannon, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. James (Elaine) Stuart of Nova and Mrs. James (Barbara) Bryant of Sullivan; his mother, Ellen Bruce of Greenwich and grandmothers, May Thorpe of Ashland an Mildren (sic) Fry of Nova.

Mr. Thorpe was preceded in death by one son, Harry Jr. in 1967.

Services will be Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert McGall officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the Eagles Lodge will conduct services at 7 p.m.
