(b. 1881, d. March 21, 1929)

The fourth suicide in Ashland County within 10 days occurred at 6 am today when Harvey F Woods, 68, farmer ended his life by hanging himself in a barn on his farm about three miles southeast of Ashland, despondency over ill health is believed to have caused the suicide.

Milton Stoler, Ashland resident ended his life by asphyxiation on Friday March 15

On Thursday March 21st Howard McClellan, farmer of near Sullivan, shot himself through the heart, and on the same day Roger Colton a Ashland resident took his own life by the same means.

Note: his wife, Cora Fry McClellan had died of cancer 5 days earlier.
